The proprietary Kuncai production process and the experience gained over 20 years in operation, working with a range of coating technologies, has led to the development of high purity grade titanium dioxide and iron oxide. The company has constructed a new production facility that has the capacity to produce up to 500,000 tons of a variety of titanium and iron dioxide product qualities every year.
TITANIUM DIOXIDE
As one of the principal white pigments on the market,TiO2 is widely used in a whole host of applications from coatings to plastics, papers, inks, cosmetics and many more.

The market for titanium dioxide and iron oxide pigments is an established one in which technical innovations are rare. Kuncai spent nearly 10 years creating a groundbreaking new production process based on a revolutionary extraction method which differs significantly from traditional chloride or sulfate processes. This new production methodology and the related intellectual property rights are fully owned by Kuncai.
The extraction process has potential for significant and fundamental improvements in energy consumption, safety, environmental protection, labor, and quality.
As such, the Kuncai production process for titanium dioxide and iron oxide pigments is set to subvert traditional production methods.

Founded in Wenzhou City, Zhejiang Province in 1999, Kuncai is the world's largest company for innovative pearlescent pigments, titanium dioxide produced using the chloride process, iron oxide, functional materials, and other pioneering products. Registered in 2005 in the Yuanhong Investment Zone and the Jiangyin Harbor Economic Zone, Fuqing City, Fujian Province, the company was first listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange in 2017 (Stock No. 603826) and is focused on bringing innovation and expertise in inorganic materials science to the market. With assets totaling around 10 billion yuan, Kuncai’s plants span a total area of approx. 500 acres with buildings stretching over approx. 1.5 million square meters, and are equipped to deliver sustainable innovation across the entire industrial value chain.
